Zim: a desktop wiki, journal and to-do list

Journals, wikis and to-do lists are great way of keeping track and enhancing productivity. What if you could have an application that serves all the three purposes?
Zim is a free desktop wiki application that can serve as a wiki, to-do list as well as your personal journal. It's also a distraction-free tool for writing your next novel or mathematics project. It can handle complex mathematical equations. It can also be used to create simple websites.
Zim has auto-formatting and auto-save options, thus allowing you to focus on writing.
It is an ideal option for both Windows and Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, OpenSuse and many more) users who want to have a personal wiki without having to install and maintain a local server on the computer. It's also available for Mac OS X.

If you want Zim to close in system tray, there is Tray-Icon Plug-in. It also has a few more plug-ins that increase its functionality.
Ubuntu users can install Zim from the Ubuntu Software Center.
